Supreme Court Rejects Bush, Backs Guantanamo Detainees
The Supreme Court struck a big blow today against the treatment of foreign prisoners under the Bush administration, ruling 5–4 that the Constitution gives detainees at Guantanamo Bay the right to challenge their detention in U.S. civilian courts. This seemingly means that the U.S. can no longer hold people in Guantanamo for years without charges.
