The line between fiction and fact is already blurred beyond recognition...so why should medicine be left out of the mix? Anymore, the typical pop culture remedies that are marketed are already aimed at nebulous hard to pinpoint issues like 'well-being' and 'happiness', when they really out to be in the business of curing something more immediate...like, say, CANCER! (Which is much too profitable to cure.) This isn't really that surprising in an advertising, touchy feely, TV reality show, consumption and impulse driven society.
