Capitalism: A Love Story

Michael Moore has really hit his stride as a film maker with his latest venture, Capitalism: A Love Story. The film is the best he has made since Roger & Me, and the two films bookend his career nicely. While Mr. Moore has certainly grown into a more mature film maker, his major shortcoming remains. Namely, a touching faith in the electoral process and kid gloves for his favorite Democrats, in this case President Barack Obama.

    “A touching faith in the electoral process”

    Indeed.. I do believe the last remaining bit of faith I myself had for our electoral process was killed in these past 10 months. It was as I feared: No matter what we were able to “accomplish” with this last election, the apparatus set up to counter this is so vastly more entrenched and powerful. That we have elections at all is merely a charade for the masses to give people a sense that somehow they're directing their own destinies. Wrong.
