Fiona, perhaps you folks are more civilized and dignified over there. Manufacturers here operate on pure greed, regardless of the consequences. They truly don't care if we all perish, as long as their lust for more and more wealth is satiated.

When I visited the States I was surprised to see that most foods there contain HFCS and Hydrogenated soy bean oil. We don't use HFCS much over here, and hydrogenated oils even less because of the health risks associated with it. Plus I saw many chemicals in foods that are banned here (UK) for being unsafe. It's very worrying.

People have been feeding high-fructose corn syrup to bes for decades, according to the article. And it's only toxic when it's heated to 120 degrees farenheit. So the real problem could be the inside of the hives is just getting hotter than they used to. If that's true, then the bees could actually be dying from:
