Can someone explain to me how come the ACLU in the past have fought our Government on theChurch and Stat issues. They have had the Atheists and other religious groups as clients to remove the word "Christ" and Nativity displays. as according to the Church and state law. and have succeeded.
But I notice in my town of Paramus, NJ that every so often a substitute mail carrier is sometimes a muslin women dressed in their religious garb. I maybe wrong but doesn't this apply to C & S as well. Also the young muslin girls who attend public schools dress this way also and many of the boys wear turbines from different groups as well. How Come?

There is nothing wrong with the phrase "Happy Holidays". The problem arises when businesses use it to circumvent "Merry Christmas" simply to be politically correct and of course not to offend anyone which may hurt their bottom line (money).

Drew, the purpose of this whole thing is to educate the consumer as to who is taking advantage of selling Christmas items and benefiting from the sales simply to make money and to be tolerant. Yes Christmas commercialism has gotten really disgusting, however I'm a Christian and this is one of the most important religious holidays for me and others. Indeed, if you are a pagan, atheist or practitioner of another religion, I would hope you would be civil enough to respect another persons beliefs. Merry Christmas!

For me it's not so much the Jesus issue, as someone who has to work in these kinds of places to pay for college, I get aggravated when the possiblity of me working on Christmas day comes around. I work every other holiday, and yet I want one day off. I'll even work Christmas Eve. But not Christmas Day. It's corporate greed that irritates me. On Christmas Day, my workplace is open one shift and they pay the employees double to work that day. It adds up to maybe a thousand extra dollars into the billion dollar corporation's pocket. Chump change not worth it. What really really gets me though, is that yes they are paying me double but the higher ups are enjoying Christmas and the new bonus we just earned them. I despise people that shop on Christmas Day because there are 364 other days in the year-can you not freaking wait one day? My grandmother told me a story: My uncle was a newborn and she took a weekend trip. She forgot the pacifier. It was too late stores were closed. He screamed and cried the whole time. She learned to be prepared from that point on. Nowadays we have places open on Christmas for greed and for the irresponsible people that can't buy gifts on time. Not to mention that fat lazy ones that just can't take one day and cook for themselves. One day. Thats all. One freaking day for everyone to enjoy the time with their family. And we have people working because someone wants to buy a sweater on Christmas Day. If someone is Jewish, I am sorry. They should have their time for Hanukkah it's only fair. For the rest, the majority of this nation is indeed Christian so gonna have to wait until December 26th to shop. Thats the way it should be.

You need to add http://store.thesims3.com

The quintessential symbols of both Hanukkah and Kwanzaa are represented but no tree was offered in their happy holiday set. A lot of players have been rather upset about this.

http://store.thesims3.com/setsProductDetails.ht...

You can add Red Lobster to the 'against' . I went there for lunch Dec 21 - no sign of Christmas. I asked if they hadn't heard Christmas was coming and was told that their president, (Kim Lopdrup) didn't want them to decorate so it wouldn't offend anyone. I'm offended.

I suppose I should feel grateful that you haven't threatened me. Please don't feel sorry for me, there is enough sorrow in the world. Thanks for the thought just the same.

Hello,
I do not believe in christmas because I have chosen not to believe in God or any supernatural religion that has been shown to me. I was born catholic and learned through time, dedication and study that it was not for me and I respectfully opted out of it. My catholic family respected my opinion and understood that there was nothing they could do or say to make me change my mind because it was something I had decided based on years of study, not temptation or any other religious satan-related excuse.
Thus, I as for you people to do the same and learn to respect others. I am sure your religion does not request for you to go throw eggs at atheist's homes or boicot stores just because they choose not to go along with all the money making commercial side of these hollidays.
I would understand if you were mad because they put up a sign reading something offensive against your beliefs, but if all they did was NOT think the same way you did, you are putting yourselves in a lame position and you are saying, with your actions, that non believers are more polite and mature than believers (Im not saying thats true, im saying thats what inmature actions tell the world)
Learn to accept others, live and let live, live and let die, mind your own business just like we mind ours.

Can someone explain how saying "happy holidays" is offensive? I just don't get it. It's showing respect for the beliefs of others. Jesus didn't boycott. Jesus said "love one another." Where is Jesus in the whole boycott thing?

Would you like to kill me? How Christian of you. Even if I died at your hands, you'd still be a hypocrite to the faith you support so eloquently. If Jesus wants vengence on me I'm sure he doesn't need your help.
Have some faith in your God.

You're mighty brave behind that keyboard. I've calmed down, and I'd be willing to answer questions you might have about Christianity, my lost little man. Or, if not, I'd welcome the chance to teach you some manners, which you're sorely in need of!

How wierd that you would choose to become poster boy for the definition of "Wacky". If you like you can turn the other cheek til your head spins and falls off. It should make a nice hollow sound when it hits the floor.
By the way, my friend, Christianity sucks, Christmas sucks, "that Jesus character" sucks too, just thought I'd make a run for the border.
Have a nice day...

Nevermind, I guess it doesn't count if you have whole sections of your stores devoted to selling crap to people Jesus-style, only if you advertise it as such.

Kroger, huh? I could have sworn the Christmas stuff in the local store was up even before Halloween hit. If anything, I'll shop in the "against" stores, just to spite the AFA.

Consumers for Jesus. Buy your kids some Jesus approved "Brat" (slut) dolls or toy guns at Target! Target is on the "Good" list. Jesus says so. There are no Christians. Its just a club of fearful fools and hypocrits who can't forgive or admit fault. Not very Jesus-like at all really. Get real.........
In fairness, I have met a few Christians that made an effort to be more like that Jesus character. Who actually had some integrity in there beliefs and that showed in there actions.
"Lord, Save me from your followers" LOL

I guess I will have to buy brake fluid somewhere else now. Thanks a lot Advanced Auto Parts.

In all reality these places are lucky if they are not bombed for not celebrating Christmas. These Christians are wackier and wackier by the day. Tell me again, who am I supposed to be afraid of?
