Finally! I have ADD, ans most of my childhood was sppent doped up on ritalin, whick kept me sick most othe time. The doctors kept wanting my doasage increased, and my mom was like thats enough, she pulled me off slowly, and i learned how to deal. Later when i was in college, my class schedule chaged for mondays and wednesdays to tuesdays and thursdays , so i had to show up high for a math test in which i had struggled with since i was little. (i always barley passed every math course and failing some growing up!) anyway, I took the test and aced it! it even confused me. I was High…how did i ace a math test…i was horrible at math! I think weed slows down the minds of those with ADD/ADHD to where you can think on a normal level and concentrate. I can do my house cleaning better high. if i clean without smoking i end up tearing up my whole house in efforts to clean one room…. stoned im organized and seem to commit to finishing the job and finishing it well! So thank God for those out there with the common sense to realize that there are more helpful effects from it than harmful! Plus Alcohol and Tobacco are way worse for you! the of the side effects for all three…good grief Duh! I dont know How alcohol and tobacco are legal and pot isnt.

this is wrong. i have ADD and i definitely have a completely different reaction on adderall. when im not on it and i go to school i feel as if there is no point to do anything unlike when i take it. BUT ID RATHER SMOKE BUD! LEGALIZATION NEEDS TO HAPPEN!!! JOIN THE FIGHT!

If it is for the health why not? The card is a way to control it. What's the controversial factor there? I think the “abuse” word in the mind.

Kids have a hard time making sense of a world full of contradictions and constant demands. ADD, ADHD are bullshit acronyms created as tools for selling new treatments for kids that don't behave the way society says they should. Being branded as defective by being “diagnosed” with one of these descriptions only deepens the wounds. General boredom and confusion might be a more realistic description of these “problem” childrens issues.
As safe as I know marijuana to be, I still would give pause to the idea of giving children pot or any other mind altering (prescription) drugs for that matter. Doctor prescribed or not.
That being said, I would sooner give my kid pot than I would Aderall, Ritalin or whatever else, that is, if I could without the risk of being thrown into prison.

well its much better than giving them meth like they do now, if bud had a more marketable nature they could just slap a catchy name on it like adderal and no body would be the wiser because lets not kid ourselves, there is little difference between tweak and the add medicines, to be precise theres only a single methyl molecule difference that simply allows it to pass the blood brain barrier more easily
