The Montauk Project Resurfaces

Our friends at AboveTopSecret have brushed off one of our favorite mad conspiracy theories, the Montauk Project. When the Disinformation team was commissioned by Britain’s Channel 4 TV to create a pilot for the TV series that later became Disinfo Nation, we asked friend (and now Disinformation author) Alexandra Bruce to take us to the far end of New York’s Long Island to meet the wacky characters at the center of the reptilian conspiracy depicted in Peter Moon’s series of books.     I would be careful about going down the crazy conspiracy theory path. There are many things that are kept secret from us and conspired plans that have a negative effect on our lives that are real, however alluding to something without any proof is just nuts. “yea it was used during the cold war”, “yea we built bunkers all over then”, …but now we use it for sinister purposes right next to a state park on long island. Give me a break. I’ll believe you when you give any proof other than just describing a common cold war style bunker. ….The best part is when he says….Oh there are signs and fences protecting a FORMER and maybe currently used to some extent MILITARY BASE. What did he expect?….I love how he says it like what are they hiding? then they show a photo of a sign warning of possible unexploded artillery…….Maybe they just dont want some dumb ass skipping around on an old military base and possibly getting his legs blown off by a buried live round.
