Right on Honu. It is a shame that psychedelics like LSD or mushrooms could even be considered as weapons. Give every person some LSD or shrooms and the resulting enlightenment would lead to the end of major conflicts and war. It should be used as a tool of peace and tranquility, not as an instrument of war and destruction.

That was rather amazing. Think I've seen it before, but still always interesting to look at the effects of LSD.

LSD was NOT developed by the Nazis. A Swiss scientist made it.
These tests were in the 50s.
There is absolutely no legitimate evidence to suggest that any government agency is still experimenting with LSD on people. MKULTRA was ended in the 70s.

Some psychedelics have been shown to be beneficial for some mental disorders. Research in this field is slowly coming back to the mainstream.

I'll look up some of the supporting articles and post links.

I suppose having a scientific approach to observing human behavior on a psychedelic like LSD is interesting on some level but when will there be an honest open discussion about the value of psychedelics. They are not like narcotics. LSD, psilocybin mushrooms, dmt, etc should be considered in terms of the value of the experience of the users. I can get pretty f'd up on alcohol and even pot without so much as a passing thought of my place in the universe but a larger dose of LSD is not a ride you just skate through. These drugs affect the human experience multidimensionally in ways that force an extreme kind of meditation. It would be hard to not consider these substances sacred for that reason though I understand the word 'sacred' is a loaded one. It would be healthier to discuss these substances in terms of their benefits as well as their side effects and have a public discussion that could be more understanding of the truth about these drugs. And as a side note....all things we ingest are drugs. The food we eat affects our energy, our metabolism, our vitals. Same goes with the quality of our water/drinks, sunlight and air. Just because something is a plant derivative in pill or liquid form doesn't mean it's some isolated category 'drug' that conjures up negative reactions. On the spectrum of digestable substances, psychedelics are clearly on the far left but it's still digestable.
