Mysterious Light Spiral Appears Over Norway

In the explanation race I’m voting for time travelers, we all have seen the crazy-looking portals and vortexes in the movies. Here’s a bit from the Daily Mail, where some “scientists” speculate it was a Russian missile test:

Tromsø Geophysical Observatory researcher Truls Lynne Hansen was certain the light had been caused by a missile launch. He told Norwegian media that the missile had likely lost control and exploded. The spiral, he claimed, was the result of light reflecting on the leaking fuel. He was quoted as saying the light was sunlight, despite the strange lights showing up at night.

The Barents Observer quoted Norwegian Defence spokesman Jon Espen Lien as saying that the Norwegian military does not know what the lights were — but that they were probably from a Russian missile. He said it was normal for Russia to use the White Sea and the Barents Sea as a testing ground for missiles.

C’mon, time travel is so much more fun…

    The Russians have said they have not fired any such missiles, I do believe this is part of a test by project blue beam, a NASA project, and this is stage two, which has the intention of putting holographic images in the skies around the world in order to make people believe we are being invaded by aliens, the result they are looking for is for the people of the world to look to the UN for protection, which would give away what little freedom we have left, i cant post a link here, but please google project blue beam or wiki it, or you can see the link on my twitter. dont be fooled, the next stage is even more scary.

    This is awesome, any way you look at it. I am keeping my mind open, but I have to admit that I *HOPE AND WISH* that it is something spectacular and amazing, but am leaning at this point towards a more prosaic explanation, such as the missile hypothesis. Just because two governments deny knowledge of a defense experiment/test doesn't mean it didn't happen. Also, my understanding is that this was taking place in the early morning hours, not during the night, hence the hint of a waaaaay northern hemisphere dawn in the sky. In such a case, a fuel leak in the upper atmosphere from a very aerodynamic, but careening and corkscrewing missile would not only probably look just like that hypnotist's wheel effect, but would also be illuminated much more strongly than items at the surface of the planet, and would in fact be in near direct sunlight. I think the visual information that tells us that the center of the cyclone (so to speak) is stationary is actually an optical illusion, and the weird spreading of the black hole at the end it literally the very end of the fuel supply. The missile would still be moving very fast, and so tiny and far away that it would be invisible. As far as the blue stream is concerned, it looks like it has very nearly the same frequency as the spirals, and again, could be just the spent gas picking up weird reflected light from the snow. Perhaps that's what's bouncing off of it. Think of the strange multitude of colors one sees in a puddle of conventional automobile fuel. Who knows what sort of spectrum of light some sort of missile fuel could reflect.

    I still hope it's a dimensional portal.

    Mwalder's post also show the inherent illogical bias of conspiracy-minded folks, who, with a pre-determined belief in what is actually an unprovable contention (or fallacy!), watch an unknown phenomenon and then make an impressive leap in reasoning to conclude that it's part of some grandiose, unlikely plot against humankind. The missile hypothesis has absolutely NO holes, AND there is already information in the public record concerning new Russian missiles designed to elude laser-targeting from anti-missile defense mechanisms by way of high-speed, controlled corkscrewing motions. Notice that this is not at all careening out of control. It is actually quite controlled!

    my problem with the missile theory is that we, as a species, have been testing missiles for a long time now. you would think that this sort of thing would be a bit more common place. or is it just russian missiles that do this sort of thing?
