In 1982 I paid 25 bucks for a quarter-ounce of so-so pot, today I'll pay 25 bucks for a quarter-ounce of blow-your-mind stuff. Thank you to the idiots and your war on drugs, you can't even make the prices go up, and the quality has improved. Prohibition didn't work for alcohol, it only caused alot of corruption, and fed organized crime. Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it.

it's funny i know so many like you. which brings me to a point, pot does no harm and should be legal, actually it should't be in question, it's the poison being givin to us all that's bad. corrupt gov't. cia the worlds largest drug dealer bad bad bad.big gov't hates competition.i just wanna be left alone, but these bastards think they own me and you.my pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness has been infringed upon and i am angry as hell,i will not sit idle god bless you and yours.

In many ways it will be harder to make money on selling pot legally. Home gardens will spring up everywhere. In many ways marijuana is easier to grow than say, tomatoes and bell peppers. Cultivation is necessary only to improve overall yield and quality, otherwise it will grow wild and come up every season without human assistance. There will be a convenience market for people who cant or won't grow there own. It is likely that “Coffee shops” will gain renewed popularity.
Much, not all of the profit making aspect will be gone if its legal. Why buy when you can grow it for free…
And like tobacco, the taxes on the sales of weed will be higher than the cost of the actual product.

hey there, I thought a little differently about the drug war until after reading this. There are so many more important things to spend our resources on other then the people smoking marijuana of all things. Kinda ridiculous in my opinion. Thanks for this article, changed my views and opinions greatly on the subject. Keep up the awesome work!

maybe if we didn’t have war on drugs we wouldn’t have car bombs go off in Mexican border towns for business in USA. maybe they shouldn’t be so irrational and idiotic and think about how it effects or neighbors. you don’t see Mexican gangs or Colombians going into Canada to sell some dope. just give it up they just causing further oppression
