Harvey Pekar’s Annoyance of Life; Ended.

Yep, he’s finally gone, unfortunately. Harvey Pekar – Dead at 70.

Harvey was many things to many people. He did great things in his life, but the one thing he couldn’t do was stop being Harvey Pekar.

The world is better for it.

You will be missed, Harvey.

I've been reading his stuff, intermittently, since the late '80s. Initially, I didn't get it … I was a teenager obsessed with superhero comics. Pekar's stuff seemed dull. But a few years later, I returned to American Splendor and started understanding what he did.

RIP, Harvey.
