Pea Found Growing In Man’s Lung

The old wives’ tales about swallowed gum staying in the stomach for 10 years and swallowed watermelon seeds growing in bellies just got a little truth attached to them, after a pea seed was found growing inside a man’s lung.

Ron Sveden, from Massachusetts, thought his chronic coughing meant he had lung cancer, but after his lung collapsed, doctors found something very different.

“I was told I had a pea seed in my lung that had split and had sprouted,” said Sveden to NBC 2. The plant had grown to about half an inch, his physicians said, “which is a pretty big thing of course.”…

    WOW… Noone calls bullshit on this? The X-Rays show a collapsed lung and nothing else… Did it take fucking root? How long would the damned thing last without sun? Gimme a break….

    Look at the guy… perfect health without the pea?

    My money says it would have coughed out before too long… but the other thing (not yet identified according to the silly report… ie cancer) will probably be around for the (max) 5-6 years he's got left to laugh heartily about things.

    “HA Ha! Just a pea! Oh wait… It feels like sixty more “peas” two weeks later… Oh shi….”. You get the idea.

    Sorry for morbidity, but one scenario seems an awful lot likelier. But by all means, convince other old men that it's just a Grape they swallowed last year… The health care industry could save lots of dough (don't for a second pretend that the segment wasn't also meant for that demographic specifically)…

    Oh yeah… call Liberty….
