Mexican Police Seize 121 Tons Of Marijuana In History’s Largest Drug Bust

In what is assumed to be the largest drug bust in  history, authorities seized a staggering 121 tons of marijuana, worth hundreds of millions of dollars, from a drug cartel in Tijuana. The haul was then destroyed in a massive controlled bonfire. The sheer quantity of pot involved is surreal, made slightly surreal-er by being packed with labels adorned with Homer Simpson.     This is a loss for the cartels, not the poor farmers who grew it. They have likely already been paid for the crop.

    Mexicans farmers worked hard to produce that, and this is how they are rewarded for their efforts. Talk about a system designed to completely demoralise, dehumanise, and devalue people who do no more than live off the land.

    Okay, so 121 tons = 242,000 pounds. Assume that your average joint or bowl is about half a gram. That means that they destroyed 219,155,200 doses of weed. What’s even crazier is that this probably won’t even put a dent in the drug supply here in the US.

    And stop talking shit on schwag. It all gets you high, and you can save a bunch of money. I prefer it, but it is hard to find nowadays.

    If by “gets you high” you mean “gives you a headache and makes you sleepy,” then yes schwag is where it’s at. Myself, I prefer a nice clean sativa high. As for saving money, if you had some nugs that cost you $50/eighth, and you only needed a hit or two to achieve the desired effect which would last for several hours, you could easily make that eighth last twice as long as a $20 bag of schwag that you need to smoke a half gram of to get high for maybe an hour at most, so I’m not sure you”d be saving much money if you are conservative, and not wasteful with how you smoke. You could probably even smoke up a friend or two now and again with nugs, and still make it economical. Not to mention the net weight you lose picking out all the seeds and stems, unless you like to smoke them, too. And there’s a reason schwag is hard to find; it’s because hardly anybody wants it anymore. Please, defender of schwag, keep smoking the dirty stuff; it leaves more of the good shit for the rest of us. I pity the fool.
