I personally find Asians to be the rudest group of people I’ve ever come in contact with. It’s no surprise they only hang out with there families and other Asians. No one else can stand them. They are rude to everyone else. I have the misfortune of having to watch Chinese exchange students. You should hear how racist and hateful they are towards every other race.

You’re right. Charging someone with being “racist” is America’s favorite pastime. Anyone of any background can throw around language regarding “white trash”, or “rednecks”, “hillbillies”, “hicks”, or any such and it’s all wonderful and ok, but it is neither wonderful, nor ok with me. The hypocrisy of Americans where racial etiquette is concerned is of the most maddening sort. I believe completely in fairness with respect to all but it is a farce here.

You don’t like big words and compelling arguments? I’m sorry. There are plenty of websites out there for you. Using articulate sentences is exactly what makes an argument more valid. That is the point of arguing. It doesn’t necessarily make an opinion more valid, but arguing IS, in fact, the art of lending credence and validity to one’s opinion through persuasive and well-considered speech. Anything less simply the product of a bare-minimum education.

There is a common, but thoroughly inane tendency to accuse anyone who takes a strong position against anything of prejudice. For instance: I hate racism. Therefore, according to some, I am racist against racists. The assumption here is that everything should be tolerated equally, even intolerance. This is completely possible in a world such as that we see depicted in the media. In such a world all perspectives are on equal footing because all perspectives are equally devoid of substance. In a world in which ideas have real effects and consequences one must actually arm one’s spirit and take a stand for and against things.

This brings us to hatefulness. Yes, I am being hateful. I don’t feel compelled to love my enemy as a social responsibility. Perhaps it is wise to do so in some larger spiritual sense, but in the more limited and immediate world of power and culture, I think it is quite important to hate my enemy. In this watered down democracy full of insubstantial factions it is altogether too easy to forget about those who profit from the suffering and disenfranchisement of others. In fact, their power is largely derived from their invisibility. This is not the invisibility of shadowy manipulation, rather it is the invisibility of the everyday, the banal, the omnipresent. “Western” cultures have been exploiting and dehumanizing others for 500 years as a means to power and, despite the inroads made by various civil rights movements, they show no signs of stopping.
The political consciousness I inhabit identifies these cultures as Babylon, as the worshippers of Mammon, the followers of the Pharaoh. Me and mine seek to resist them at least and destroy them at best. Our existence as free peoples is forever imperiled in the shadows of pyramids.

You are quite right about the valley girl angle. Her accent has no bearing on her intelligence. This kind of prejudice gets applied to the South quite a bit. Most of the country seems quite comfortable deriding them and playing them off as dumb hicks.
