Catholic Church Officially Blames Hippies for Their Child Abuse Scandals

 WTF? So it’s basically *everyone* else’s fault that Catholic priests were raping children? I bloody well think not! Responsibility lies first and foremost with the individual priest, and secondly with the Church. That’s as far as it goes. To even begin a study like this, with such an unbelievably skewed outcome, just proves the Catholic Church has no intention of genuine repentance or in accepting responsibility. Which is in a way, almost as disgusting as the rape culture itself.

“Hippies made me do it.” I’ll have to remember that one if I’m ever accused of permitting sexual molestation and protecting the offenders when they’re caught.

Catholic priests are always on the lookout for a scapegoat to blame for their shortcomings. Usually it’s good ol’ Satan, but now we have the hippies. It really highlights the absurdity and evil of their ways, trying to bolster their bigoted philosophies via their own faults, and vilify an opposing culture in the process.

Their lies and patheticness could not be more transparent at this stage, and things like this only serve to strengthen the world’s perception of them as utter frauds, liars and bigots.

 Well said. In their search for a scapegoat, they’ve tried blaming the victims, the devil, the “Jews”, the “faggots”, now its “Hippies”. My parents were ‘hippies’ and they never abused kids. They’re using that argument to try to convince ppl that the “abuse was all in the past” and doesn’t happen anymore. What f’n ASSCLOWNS. It’d be funny if it weren’t so g’damn disgusting. I really wish those involved in abuse of kids start slitting their throats  Until then we got to pass laws that take these aholes OUT of society. 

Well the Church didn’t do the study, guy.  The John Jay College of Criminal Justice did the study, which at the least sounds like a legitimate group until this kind of bullshit pops up.  They’re part of the City College of New York, you’d think they would have some idea what they’re doing.  So far no one can point me to their data.  

Let’s face it, the Catholic church is among the most psychopathic, hypocritical and bloody institutions known to man. Don’t be a fool and expect anything they do to make sense.

And I’m looking for the actual data, but in the meantime, consider this, “the researchers used a cut-off age of 10 and under for “pre-pubescent”
victims, compared to the cut-off of 13 and under used by the American
Psychiatric Association”. Let’s discuss kids between 11 and 18. I want to kill the priests. In my high school, we all knew who they were. We just didn’t understand the gravity of their actions.

 I totally agree with them. Our culture has become permissive and soft on crime…lending credence to almost any act. This wouldn’t be a problem if we applied the rules of previous centuries appropriately.

Example: priest molests children. No one calls police or complains to church…they just drag him screaming from his home, sodomize him with a hot poker, gouge out his eyes and kick him to death with a finale curb stomp…then hang the body where crows can peck at it with a sign saying “Priest/Child Molesters Wind Up Like This!” Walla! The problem slowly ceases to exist…all thanks to good old fashioned values instead of this peace and love hippie forgiveness crap. 

Thus is the nature of the master -slave relationship…

Nothing new here, to have no backing to a theory has never stopped the church; it´s actually how organized religion thrives, faith in ignorance.

Child abuse by priests didn’t spike, the *reporting* of child abuse spiked. Priests have been molesting kids since the church began. Why do you think they invented altar boys?

Many people in the United States think our local and state government need to issue “vouchers” so parents can send their kids to religious schools on the taxpayer dime.  It would shield them from the smut, violence, profanity etc. that they suffer in public schools.  They would be in a “safe”‘ environment.

Now let’s reverse the equation.  Priests molest children and everybody turns a blind eye and a deaf ear.  If a public school teacher even looks at a student in a way that could be considered “suggestive,” he or she will be ran out of town, if not chased by some maniac with a rifle.

For as much as I don’t condone the behaviour or activity; You do realize that there is a LOWER population of paedophiles within the catholic church per capita then there is throughout the general male population.

Phrased in other words, out of 100 general males in the general world population, and 100 priests, statistically there will be more chance of paedophiles in the general population.

I point this out not to absolve the church. More to say that this is a world problem, not a catholic priest problem. I agree they shouldn’t protect there priests from the full brunt of the law. But to say that all priests are paedophiles is simply misinformation.

Paedophiles are paedophiles. All of them should be thrown in jail and it made known they are paedophiles. A little social/jail revenge.I agree this whole report being pushed through may be bunk. That doesn’t change the fact that you have an organization tasked with explaining while there own are molesting children. In the end, NO reason will be satisfying. NO reason will justify the act. And the simplest reason is probably true. these are simply morally corrupt people who enjoy the act. No different then the Senators accused of the same acts.

What did you expect?  That the catholic church would say, yes, we are riddled with sex offenders and that last two popes have been criminals for aiding and abetting them by protecting and concealing them.  Then there is the additional felony of being an accessory after the fact.  Ratzinger is still alive, so he should be in prison. 

Most of the problems of the world are, and always have been, caused by religion.  For example, Northern Ireland, the Middle East, 9/11, and family planning clinic bombing in the USA.  Then there were the crusades, the inquisition, witch burnings, and the dark ages.  Get the idea?

Humanity will never truly be free until the black yoke of religion is lifted by the clear light of truth and rational thinking.

When I read shit like this it really..REALLY pisses me off.

Honestly, I have taught English language arts in both public high schools and private high schools, and parents should take the private high schools over the public high schools any day of the week, and for parents everywhere–be very, very suspicious of any adult who wants to spend private time with you children and get “close” to them. I don’t know of any normal men who want to babysit or spend considerable time alone with children. P.S. for everyone–not everyone who says they are Christian, are Christian. Even Jesus made a special note of this several times in the New Testament. And, the Bibe does not advocate breaking the law, to “be subject to governmental authority.” Child molesters seem to be in a self-induced coma of consciene, and believe that they are entitled to do what they do.” Execute them. The problem with the Catholic Church scandals is that years later is hard to prove? Maybe the rule should be that they should not be alone with ANY children, and why would they need to be alone with a minor? “Parents, raise up your children in the fear and admoniton of the Lord.” I cannot imagine why adults would need to be alone with other peoples’ children????? Oh, and by the way, I don’t think permitting child molesters to marry will cure their problem of deceiving and abusing children. STUPID idea.
