Occupy Building 7 Announced

Posted by Camron Wiltshire on November 6, 2011

Via OccupyBuilding7.org:

September 11, 2001: the day the 1% hijacked our country from the 99%
and launched a permanent war that will not end in our lifetimes unless we stop it.

Ten years later the War on Terrorism has diverted trillions of dollars from more important uses and sunken our country into debt. Building 7, which most people don’t know about, came crashing to the ground at 5:20pm on September 11th. The government’s absurd story that “normal office fires” felled this 47-story skyscraper is only the tip of the iceberg of the lies we’ve been fed about 9/11.

It is also “very difficult for a man to understand something when” he is a moron.  Go ahead and stew in your own juices on that one.

If either of you guys want to say that shit to my face meet me in the skydeck of the John Hancock tower.  I have no mercy for truthers.  Richard Gage is the worst sort of con man, who makes his living spreading fear, lies and paranoia.  He should be occupying an urn in the back of a creepy antique store.

As for those who fall into his web of lies I can only be content that they are a tiny minority of sub-morons.  Like all vermin however, in great numbers, they can cause great damage.  I have faith in Gage.  He will blow this just like his marriage, career, and (allegedly) a large number of sailors in Berkeley.

One’s belief regarding WTC 7 is not the issue here, as you’re well aware.  The fact is the Truth movement does not have credibility in the public’s eye, which is why it is trying to borrow some from the OWS movement, which is not going to help anyone.  Least of all the OWS movement.

As I noted earlier, pretending that this is anything other than the Truth movement attempting to co-opt the marginal success of the OWS movement is disingenuous.  And, as I also noted earlier, the “omg you’re just sheeple afraid that the government doesn’t have your best interest at heart” is not a strong card to play on Disinfo, where nobody thinks the government has anyone’s interest except its own at heart.

  • Tuna Ghost

Hmm I should’ve elaborated.  It speaks volumes for how the Truth movement views its own level of credibility in the public’s eye, and what it is willing to do in order to change that (namely, sink another more successful movement).

For the last time: one’s beliefs regarding 9/11 or WTC 7 are not the issue here.  The issue here is credibility.  Your YouTube videos and statistics are not seen by the public at large as credible or anything other than unsubstantiated conspiracy theories.  That is the image associated with the Truth movement.  Pretending otherwise is ridiculous, especially given that the Truth movement is at this very moment trying to get credibility from another only barely credible movement by appropriating the language and brand.

Your unwillingness to address this is very telling.

Um what started the illegal and immoral wars of occupation that are bankrupting us entirely, morally and financially?

The country isn’t bankrupt.  Corporate profits are at record highs.  Taxes are at their lowest level in decades and decades.  The wars are not the reason for the unemployment rate.

Kinda the official start of the financial meltdown if you are willing to look.

If you think that’s where the ruin of the economy has its origins, then you either were not and are not paying attention, or you don’t understand how the economy works.  This is an example of why the Truth movement does not have credibility in the mind of the public.

To be fair, though, the oral sex thing was probably his best work to date insofar as it spread the most happiness.  Every time I give oral sex to sailors its a shameful and distressing time for everyone, I must be doing something wrong

    oh for god’s sake, guy

…even tho his thinking is kind of skewed himself because anyone with an thought to think for themselves and an idea of common sense would clearly see that something is seriously not right with this whole 9/11 story the government has given us.

Give me some credit, guy.  Of course I don’t believe the gov’t is telling the truth about 9/11.  I just also don’t believe Gage et all.

…not that what I, or anyone for that matter, believes about 9/11 really has anything to do with the issue at hand.

I talked to these “Truther” dolts at one of their pathetic rallies a couple years ago. Most of them seemed like they lived in their parents’ basement. I asked them how the Feds got the explosives in the buildings. Their answer was simple: Agents were disguised as celluar phone techs. I then asked them if all these agents were killed to keep them from talking. Of course they were! Do you think our monolithic juggernaut of a government is stupid? I then asked how comes it that none of the government assassins of the original bomb-planting agents never talked or wrote an anonymous email about their crimes. Well, this elicited a stony silence. Obviously I had violated their creed. Now I was not welcome. Perhaps I was a secret agent myself! I think the” 911 truth movement” is an inside job.

Ohhh you ‘debunker’s name calling is so so hurtful.  Ouch, a touch I do declare.  What’s so funny is how insanely mad you get Argosy.  Gage a conman?  Really….and so losing his marriage and career in service of selling his 9-11 truth movement serves him how exactly?  Money?  nope.  Fame…nope.  Sorry bud…your rationalizations fail as does your bilous screes.  Are you jealous of Gage or something?  It’s ok really…I’m sure there’s plenty of guys you can blow in your hometown.

After reading these comments it saddens me to think of all the silly ways in which we are divided.

The OWS is a protest and movement against capitalism & corporatocracy. When capitalism and the corporations fall only then we will be able to truly disseminate the truth from the lies.

We need to focus on uniting with eachother, we need to be tactful and understanding. channel this anger on focusing on the real enemies ‘capitalism, corporations and systems of goverment’

This comment is directed to ALL of you.

I think it should be stated that by “Occupying” Building 7 that there is not intention to hijack or bend the OWS to the 9/11 Truth side of popular revolt and questioning of power.  Rather it’s utilizing a meme of resistance to add to the over 10 years of dedicated research, organization, and exemplary activism as epitomized by the efforts of the Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, RememberBuilding7.org, NYCCAN, FireFighters for 9/11 Truth, FealGood Foundation (First responders aid advocacy), 911blogger.com, Scholars for 9/11 Truth and Justice, We Are Change, etc, etc, which have any many ways pioneered the explosion of social media as a tool for the oppressed, (Loose Change as the first internet blockbuster film with Millions of views is but one example)  the Occupy Building 7 movement is simply a call for increasing awareness of the reality of Building 7’s destruction on 9/11.  Only 1/4 New Yorkers are aware of Building 7.  Perhaps we can let the people decide once they actually are prompted to this reality if there should be a new 9/11 investigation.  For everyone on this forum who try to sway the conversation away from sharing information about Building 7, I simply ask that you let people make their own educated decisions once they have become aware of Building 7 and the evidence that demands a new investigation of 9/11.  It wont’ hurt you in the least, unless of course you have a stake in maintaining the big lie of 9/11.

    Peace in the Middle East.

I think it should be stated that by “Occupying” Building 7 that there is not intention to hijack or bend the OWS to the 9/11 Truth side of popular revolt and questioning of power.

Perhaps not, but it is an attempt to co-opt the brand and vocabulary of the Occupy /x/ movement to lend credibility to the Truth movement, which will have a negative impact on the Occupy Whatever movement’s credibility.  This is why so many people have a problem with it, regardless of their beliefs in regard to WTC 7 and 9/11.  They are justified in their dismay at being associated with the Truth movement.  The issues dealt with by each movement are not similar and do not lend themselves to sitting together under one banner.  People are viewing this co-opting as being beneficial to only one side and rather harmful to the other.  They are right to do so; this will only hurt the OWS movement.

And of course you are an expert on the beliefs and opinions of million of diverse people all over the World.

OK dolt. Have you considered the possibility that it wouldn’t be that hard to bring these buildings down if they were designed in such a way that they could be brought down safely. This design feature would be a good idea considering the density of the surrounding buildings.

Here’s another one dolt: those who could have installed the explosives may not have known what they were installing. They may have thought it to be air conditioning controllers or other seemingly benign fittings.

I don’t know exactly what happened, as opposed to Soktama who in all his wisdom seems to have with a single argument rebuffed some truthers, and theorises that the truth movement is an inside job. Well, it would be pretty easy to infiltrate the 9/11 truther crowd to make them look dumb, just like any popular protest movement. Smart truthers know that the facts are not clear and need to be investigated properly.

Soktoma, your arguments are weak. You picked on some small fry. Take a bite out of my arguments if you think that you are so smart.

As for the stinking tuna fish, OWS is perceived to be a bunch of mainly young idealists who have not been able to formulate any real steps to end corporate domination of the US and other parts of the world. OWS is no more credible than the 9/11 truth movement. I would actually say OWS is less credible; truthers have a clear intent, OWS do not, or at least they do not have any plausible plans to effect the change that they (and I) desire. I am sorry to say that the corporates would be rejoicing at the failure of the Occupy movements to effect any change.

Start chanting “Wealth Cap”, and then you will see them sweat.

In fact, if the OWS protesters want to get to the bottom of the massive deceptions going on, a proper inquiry into 9/11 would be a good place to start. The NIST inquiry was not thorough on any level aside from side-stepping the hard questions.

I am a “truther”. What do I make of critics of truthers? Bullshit artists!

Idiots Rule makes a very good point below.

These beliefs and opinions are not hard to collect and are evidenced by behavior.  Aside from that, the very fact that the Truth movement is blatantly attempting to co-opt the name and brand of a significantly more popular movement (to the dismay of the more popular movement) is pretty clear evidence in and of itself.  Why are you attempting to deny this?
