Occupy Wall Street Electronics Destroyed By NYPD

compsVia Motherboard, the police apparently took baseball bats to all of the property they confiscated in their Zuccotti Park raid a couple weeks ago. Was the goal to destroy devices that might contain documentation of the protests, or simply to punish the protests by breaking their possessions?

Don’t let the media have you fooled. This is what really happened to the protesters property after the OWS raid last week.

The NYPD smashed/broke laptops, camera’s, tents, all electronics, bikes, etc. and took $5,000 of cash from a man’s backpack. That was all the money he had left to get by. The cops are now facing legal charges for violating their own rules and not giving protesters receipts for materials “confiscated”.

    I would like to see if one of those devices was recording sound or video at the time they were confiscated.

    They never announced a pickup!!!! That was the first thing i asked people from the protest!! No one i spoke to was told any thing about being able to pick there stuff up Face up to it the cops acted like state controlled Chinese solders…. pricks.

    I also like how the “police” only “destroyed” decade-old electronics. I got the Dell Inspiron pictured there in 2004. The other items pictured similarly look like they were from collected from the assorted basements of everyone’s old computers they’re not using anymore. The OWS “Signal Corps” is savvy enough to be using modern Canon HFS10s to shoot video, tweet from iPhone 4GS’, etc., but hasn’t bought a laptop in 7 years. LOL, right.
