weed waco: lethal force and the damage done
by Alex Burns (alex@disinfo.com) - September 11, 2001
Tom Crosslin and Rollie Rohm were tragically killed by police over Labor Day weekend after devoting their lives to legalizing marijuana in Michigan.
~~ High Times

In the aftermath of the shootings of Tom Crosslin and Rollie Rohm by state and federal authorities this past Labor Day weekend, hemp activists, groups including NORML and the Media Awareness Project, and magazines such as High Times have focused attention on the Cass County's law enforcement policies for targetting marijuana users. For media analysts, the event also revealed the bias of some press and wire sources, whose reports left out much of the background context and events to the Rainbow Farm shooting incident. Thanks to the work of hemp activists, groups, and media, a more complex picture has emerged. We'll continue to follow the unfolding story as more details and reactions come to hand.
