robert sterling
by Alex Burns (alex@disinfo.com) - December 20, 2000
In the twilight world of conspiracy theory, Robert Sterling is one of the few researchers able to temper his moral outrage with the bracing sting of humour.

Sterling's web-site 'The Konformist' was one of the first to offer an extensive links collection to the online conspiracy community. His 'Beast Of The Month' column has mocked everyone from the English super-group 'The Spice Girls' to US talk-show host Jerry Springer (as well as the usual bunch of mind control researchers and black-ops projects).

A high-point was his spirited defence of eco-activist Julia Hill, indicating that Sterling is no friend of multi-national behemoths or thinly disguised corporate greed. Hopefully this is a sign that the conspiriology community will have a political voice in the globalization issues and 'resource wars' that are beckoning for the Twenty-first Century. Dark times require minds who can see through a glass darkly,

Sterling's well-timed humour prevents his writings from falling into the over-arching 'grand narrative' traps of researchers like David Icke and William Milton Cooper. He has dared to publish material by John Quinn and other theorists, as well as being featured prominently in 'Paranoia' magazine and R.U. Sirius' 'Getting It' Internet-only magazine. You might disagree with him, you might find him annoying (especially if you're Nike CEO Phil Knight), but if you're going to enter the conspiracy theory ballpark, Robert Sterling is a voice you cannot ignore.

A collection of links to Robert Sterling related web-sites; author photo; brief bigraphical details.

The Lucifer Project: Milton William Cooper In Space
This 'GettingIt' article (6th December, 1999) by Robert Sterling is a savvy look at conspiriologist Milton William Cooper, who never lets reality get in the way of a good conspiracy theory. Cooper claimed that NASA will use its 'Galileo' probe to detonate a load of plutonium and turn Jupiter into a new star, called 'Lucifer'. Sterling's wry humor is evident.

Christ Killer: Shooting Down The Jesus Myth
This 'GettingIt' article (20th December, 1999) by Robert Sterling explores claims by researcher Acharya S that Jesus Christ of the Christian Gospels was an imposter. Continues a legacy of debunking pioneered at the turn of the Twentieth Century by amateur Egyptologist Gerald Massey.

I Was A Sex Slave For The CIA: Not Your Mother's Satanic Conspiracies
This 'GettingIt' article (22nd December, 1999) by Robert Sterling is an examination of the discredited 'Project MONARCH' conspiracy involving alleged mind-control based sexual re-programming. Despite making no distinction between legitimate law-abiding Satanic institutions and the conspiracy's claims, this is a wry article that is simultaneously observant and subtly critical.

The El Monte Ambush: Is The Drug War A Front For The NWO?
This 'GettingIt' article (2th October, 1999) by Robert Sterling is an intelligent and provocative expose of an incident that raises serious questions about the erosion of civil liberties by the 'War Against Some Drugs'. Sterling's comments on the broad social dynamics involved are worth re-reading several times. Memorable, must-read material!

Eyes Forced Shut: Who Killed Stanley Kubrick?
This 'GettingIt' article (4th October, 1999) by Robert Sterling examines controversial film auteur Stanley Kubrick's sudden death and the depictions of sex magick in his film 'Eyes Wide Shut' (1999). Sterling offers a brief overview of related Masonic conspiracies and occult/sex magick history, and refers to Kubrick's even more mysterious 'AI' film project. Much food for thought.

How To Make A War: A New Take On The China Embassy Bombing
This 'GettingIt' article (8th November, 1999) by Robert Sterling explores the dark geo-political scenario of a possible future Sino/American war. Sterling offers ample proof that the behind-the-scenes coercion towards war pioneered by arms-dealer Sir Basil Zaharoff has become the diabolical norm within the Global Theater.

The Konformist
Robert Sterling's 'The Konformist' web-site is conspiracy theory du jour, offering a great news-wire and links collection, provocative articles, ongoing research, a humorous 'Beast Of The Month' section and more. A must read!

The Konformist: Beast Of The Month
Robert Sterling's 'Beast Of The Month' is a hip and frequently hilarious expose of corporate greed, black-ops, manipulative and mind-numbing mass culture, and the usual denizens of the twilight conspiriology landscape.
