The Staff Director of the US House Select Committee on Intelligence was found dead of a gunshot wound in a fleabag motel in Vienna, Virginia on June 3, 2000. Several weeks earlier, the Committee had released their latest whitewash exonerating the CIA of drug trafficking during the 1980s. Is there a connection?

The death of John Millis, who current-Central Intelligence Director George Tenent called a "tenacious advocate for a strong national intelligence capability," seems to be raising a few eye-brows, yet alarm bells should be ringing loud and strong. Suicide is only one of a myriad number of ways to cover up the murder of someone who is regarded as an annoyance or a threat. This method isn't unheard of amongst the intelligence community.

Millis, a 19 year CIA veteran, was no stranger to CIA-Drug connections, having served in Pakistan in the 1980s assisting the Afghanistan Mujahadeen, who were "documented as supplying or producing up to 50 percent of all the heroin entering the US by 1984," according to Mike Ruppert, publisher of From the Wilderness.

Millis had also investigated the Clinton Administration for approving arms transfers by Iran to Croatia and Bosnia in 1996, whilst Iran was on the US State Department's list of Terrorist States. Millis made scathing remarks in an interview with Washington Post reporter Vernon Loeb (February 18, 2000) about former-DCI John Deutch, calling him "the worst CIA Director ever." Millis gave him "first, second, and third prize" and claimed that Deutch did "major damage to the CIA's Directorate of Operations."

Although blackmail is speculated as a motive, and police are investigating, surprisingly little information is found in mainstream media about such a high ranking official's suicide.

On June 17, 2000, a CIA intelligence analyst and nuclear engineer who spoke Farsi, the native language of Iran, died in strange circumstances.

John Muskopf, 28, was out walking with friends, reported MSNBC.com (June 19, 2000), when a car pulled up alongside him. Someone demanded cash, then "police believe Muskopf refused, and he was shot in the head and neck." Another researcher pointed out that it is rare in any big city for someone to get mugged by car. Did Muskopf analyze the wrong information? Remember the 1975 film Three Days of the Condor?

The Clinton Administration has been plagued by strange deaths and untimely demise. Admiral Mike Boorda, Chief of US Naval Operations, was found shot dead at his desk (1996). His death was labelled a suicide.

This was the third death of a high-ranking Administration figure during Clinton's first term, after Vince Foster, and Ron Brown, who both suffered violent ends. Both Boorda and Foster's deaths were very quickly declared to be suicides, and left at that. Foster shot himself with a gun, supposedly leaving no fingerprints. Brown died with a .45 caliber hole in his skull, after a plane crash in Bosnia.

There is also the case of former CIA Director William Colby, who disappeared in March 1996, then was discovered floating in the Wicomico River in Maryland ten days later. His death is still a mystery.

Civilians are not immune, either, from mysterious suicides or weird accidents. The most notorious suicide within the conspiracy community was Danny Casolaro, who was found in the bathtub of a Martinsburg (West Virginia) motel room on August 10th, 1991. Casolaro was supposed to meet an informant who would wrap up his investigation into an extremely wide-ranging conspiracy involving the US Government, the military, and arms manufacturers. This case is extensively detailed in The Octopus: The Secret Government and the Death of Danny Casolaro (Los Angeles: Feral House, 1996) by Kenn Thomas and Jim Keith.

A conspiracy researcher/author of some renown, Keith broke his leg on September 7, 1999, and was admitted to hospital. He died of surgical operation complications three days later. Was Keith also silenced?

Army's Suicide Rate Serious
This is an informative Chicago Sun-Times (June 13th, 2000) article by Associated Press journalist Robert Burns. Someone recently told me about how the US military has soldiers in combat situations on secret covert missions all over the world. These soldiers see action, and do get killed at times. What does the military do with these bodies? What do they tell the soldier's families? Well, one hypothesis is that sometimes the soldiers might commit suicide, explaining a bullet wound, or there may be a helicopter crash, with a bunch of conveniently mangled bodies. "About 10 times as many soldiers died from their own hands as from enemy fire in the last 10 years," claims Burns, yet figures seem to suggest that suicides among young white males, the predominant group in the US military, are half that found among the civilian population. So why is this news report suggesting there is a problem? Is this article to set up something coming, like the results of more covert combat ops?

Scientology Associated Deaths
Whilst this has nothing to do with official murder and cover-up, it appears that the Scientology cult has its own share of allegations of nefarious murderous behavior, and covering up of crimes conducted by its members. This is not a cheerful Web site, so be aware before visiting that there is a lot of death and depression waiting here.

While this Web site alleges that Jonestown and other mass suicides were simply that - suicides - Jonestown has been called the biggest unsolved mass murder in history. Several of the Order of the Solar Temple "suicides" were subsequently ruled as murders by forensic police.

This is Chapter 5 of John Mark's classic book on mind-control research, The Search for the Manchurian Candidate (New York: Times Books, 1979). Marks detailed the sad case of Dr. Olsen, whose family thought for years he had fallen to his death (an accident or suicide), until they finally uncovered the truth. Olsen had been given a surprise LSD dose, and was possibly pushed from his window to keep his research from being publicly revealed. Learn more here.

Although he was in a plane crash, Clinton Commerce Secretary Brown died with a very odd hole in his head, which some analysts insisted could have been a gunshot wound. The Octopus
This article by David Guyatt (1997) at the Deep Politics Web site gives a detailed run-down of the story Danny Casolaro was pursuing when he passed away. Casolaro had told his brother not long before his death that "if anything happens to me, it wasn't accidental." Casolaro's body was illegally embalmed before his family was notified of his death, which hampered any autopsy attempts. Also mentioned here is the story of Paul Wilcher, another reporter on the same trail as Casolaro, who was also found dead in a bathroom, and whose notes and research material is missing, just like Casolaro's.

Who Me, A Mass Murderer?
This is another Clinton body count, only to 85 on this Web site's list. Regardless of your personal politics, this is phenomenon is still weird enough: the number of dead people associated with the Clinton crew in one way or another. It should make you pause for thought. Keep in mind the "vast right-wing conspiracy" as you read this list.

Congressional Research Service Investigation Of Supposed Mysterious JFK Assassination Deaths
This is a run-down of "21 individuals connected to the JFK assassination" who died in mysterious circumstances. It is apparent that even though the report here plays down the deaths, and is biased towards the no mystery view, even this investigator found that many of the deaths could not be explained and warranted more investigation, for one reason or another.

Mass Murder: Revisiting The Jonestown Tragedy
This harrowing Freedom magazine report is actually a piece of very serious reporting on a subject that has been conveniently forgotten by the mainstream media. This is despite being published by the notorious Church of Scientology, which has itself been linked to mysterious deaths and unexplained suicides. US Congressman Leo Ryan had been actively investigating and pursuing the CIA for its mind control operations and experiments when he made his fateful trip to Jonestown, Guyana, being a "real pain in their ass." But little focus has been paid to this fact. Maybe the following quote can explain why. "A very real possibility is that by making the assassination (of Congressman Leo Ryan) part of an even larger catastrophe, the central drama itself - that of a courageous individual blocked from probing reports of illegal, unconstitutional, government-sponsored psychiatric 'mind-control' activities - was obscured." How much have you heard or read about Ryan's real investigations?

The Man Who Knew Too Much
This Washington Post article (May 28th, 2000) by Richard Leiby details the strange death of healthy 42 year old Carlos Ghigliotti. He was the plaintiff's great hope in the ongoing civil trial against the US Government, the FBI and the BATF on behalf of the surviving Branch Davidians, and their families. Ghigliotti was a FLIR expert who had found scores of definite instances of government gunfire on the FLIR tapes taken at Waco on the day of the final assault. He made some very public statements to that effect, calling the British firm Vector's analysis a load of garbage. Then he was found dead in his office. There were no signs of foul play, yet the questions remain. Was Ghigliotti murdered, or did he die of some unknown natural cause?
