| Wed June 25, 2003 07:36 AM ET "GAZA (Reuters) - Israeli troops killed two Hamas militants in a gunbattle in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday as a U.S. envoy held talks nearby with the Palestinian prime minister in an effort to prop up a peace plan battered by violence. "The latest bloodletting raised questions about whether Hamas, the main group behind a campaign of suicide bombings against Israelis, would soon call a temporary cease-fire." |
